Broccoli is very high in Vitamin C and is a great source of soluble fibre. This makes broccoli a great food for babies.
2tbsp unsalted butter
1tsp garlic & herb seasoning
2tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup of whole milk
70g grated cheddar
30g parmesan cheese
pinch of black pepper
½ broccoli head
Boil 200g of macaroni for 15 minutes, whilst your pasta is cooking boil or steam half a head of broccoli for 8 minutes and in the last 5 minutes of your broccoli start your cheese sauce.
In a bowl add your flour and garlic & herb seasoning stirring until combined.
In a pan on a medium heat melt 2 tbsp of unsalted butter, once melted add in your flour mixture and whisk for a minute then add in your milk and keep stirring until it thickens.
Add in your cheese and stir until it has melted, and the sauce is nice and thick then add in your black pepper.
Reduce the cheese sauce to a very low heat and then remove your broccoli, (drain your broccoli if boiled) transfer to a blender and blend.
Drain your pasta once cooked, then add your pasta and broccoli to your cheese sauce. Stir well and serve as desired.
