Milk roll is a great first bread for babies, it contains 29mg of calcium per slice and has only 0.18g of salt. Remember, your child should have no more than 1g of salt a day.


1 egg

2 slices of milk roll (or any bread)

splash of whole milk

½ tsp ground cinnamon


In a bowl or tub, add your egg, milk and cinnamon and mix well

Place your bread into the mixture one at a time, ensuring it is coated.

 Add to a frying pan with a tsp of unsalted butter, flip once browned

Note – Makes 15 – this is suitable from 6 months, cut into strips for BLW

Keep in an airtight container for 2 days or freeze up to 3 months
